I recently purchased a iPhone 4 from a friend of mines who is now upgrading to the 4S. I currenlty have T-mobile as my carrier. Your probably asking why did I buy an iPhone if AT&T is not my cell phone carrier? Well, I'll tell you why I did that...
I love iPhone and the fact that you can Jailbreak and Unlock them to use for other cell phone company's. I was really excited to do this because I love what the iPhone has to offer but the plans are just too expensive to switch over.
Jailbreaking your iPhone means freeing it from the limitations placed on it by your carrier, whether it is AT&T or Verizon, and Apple. You install a software application on your computer, and then transfer it to your iPhone, where it "breaks open" the iPhone’s file system to allow you to modify it. The customization is endless and you can literally spend hours customizing the color schemes, apps, games, etc.
Here is a tutorial below on how to Jailbreak:
jail breaking is easy to do; the unlocking part is a pain in the neck specially if you got the iphone 4 cause the only way to unlocked is with a gevey sim card unless the base band on the iphone is really old which i doubt it; cause no one hold on to the old base band, gevey sim cards doesn't work with baseband 4.11.0 means firmware 5.0.1 it will be useless. I know you can try with ultrasn0w, but i don't think it will work good luck on it though i have the 4s 64gb love it but is the same as the 4 by itself now that you can add siri to that one. I'm just waiting on the iphone 5 on june or july the same as ipad 3 coming out in march, but rumors are the ipad 4 will come out also this year. In my opinion apple is letting everything come out to fast but i know they have to stay up with the competition
ReplyDeleteyea i was researching and found out that the only way to unlock my iPhone version is by gevey sim card. I just bought it yesterday and should receive it this week to unlock it. I also hate that I have to cut my sim card in order to fit into the iphone tray. You can add siri to the iphone 4???
DeleteI would like to see how you cut the sim card. Do you like the iPhone? Good job on your article.
